David Komie
David Komie graduated from Florida Atlantic University which he attended on a tennis
scholarship. After a brief and humbling stint on the smallest of pro tours, David road
tripped it to Macon, Georgia to attend Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of
Law.
In law school David fared much better than on the tennis court and made his way onto the
Mercer Law Review. After graduating in the summer of 1989, David began working for
the Atlanta law firm of Chambers, Mabry, McClelland & Brooks. Under the mentorship
of the legendary Bo Chambers, David successfully tried 30 solo jury trials without a loss.
David moved to Austin in 1996 and opened his own firm. He leaves over a thousand
happy clients in his wake. David’s unique brand of compassion, fairness and devotion to
service sets him apart from his peers.
David is married and has a daughter. His girls are the center of his life. When he’s not
husbanding or parenting he is playing a phony rock star in his band the Mud Doctors.
